The first month of life is the most vulnerable period for newborns. Our layette program provides parents with a diaper bag filled with newborn necessities they can use to support the health and well-being of children at the beginning of their lives.
-
Before a family leaves the hospital with their newborn, they must have a car seat to get their newborn home safely -- but not every family has the means to purchase one. Our car seat program provides convertible car seats to families so they can safely transport their child from day one through preschool.
-
Scholarships: Breaking the Cycle of Generational PovertyWhen parents achieve their academic goals, they gain knowledge, experience, and opportunities that can help them provide a better life for their children. Our scholarship program provides financial resources to single parents so they can pursue higher education and set an example of success for their children.

Founded in 1906, Christ Child Society of Omaha began with a simple but powerful act of service. Inspired by meeting national founder Mary Virginia Merrick, Stella (Hamilton) Stapleton established the Omaha chapter as an outgrowth of the Catholic Sewing Mission School at Sacred Heart Academy (now Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart). What began with volunteers sewing layettes for newborns soon grew into something much larger.
