How Does the Layette Program Work?

The Layette Program all starts with our volunteers, who form assembly lines to fill hundreds of diaper bags with the necessities parents need to care for their babies. Christ Child Society of Omaha then distributes these layettes to social service agencies throughout eastern Nebraska and western Iowa.

Layette assembly events are often held at local high schools where students, staff, and other CCSO volunteers work together to set up and participate in assembly lines.

Impact

Layettes support the health and wellbeing of newborns at the most vulnerable time in their lives. In 2025, Christ Child Society of Omaha volunteers assembled and distributed 2,200 layettes to more than 75 agencies in the Omaha metro area.
